Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw (/bæ̋æg/ /lɛ̌dɜː/ [silent] [pea]) is a subtropical Town located in the Doûvnḱínts̄r Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw is derived from the Goblin language, as Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw was founded by Phanos Seletela Alcelator, who was culturaly Goblin.

Climate

Overview

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw was founded durring the early 15th century in spring of the year 1403, by Phanos Seletela Alcelator. The establishment of Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Phanos Seletela Alcelator electing to pay people to resettle in Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw.

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of premissive paverstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. The exceptionaly well made fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Your first impression of Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw proves to be right on the money. This town is where the rebels chose to settle. Fashion trends are quite simply the opposite of what’s popular in the other nearby communities. THis trend extends everywhere. Things that should be black are white, what would normally be square is organically curved, and what is typically unthinkable for polite society is more than welcome in this public square. Up to the logical limits, of course. There’s no flaying someone alive to eat their skin going on, but the women are dressed a little immodestly, the men are a little more emotional, and the food is all overly complex and terrible.

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw. Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. Cultural Notes

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw experienced an impossibly long, cold, and stormy winter unlike anything seen before. The worst of the disaster struck The storm coated everything in a thick layer of ice and freezing countless animals, plants, and people to death. Bē̋ēg Lá̌dër Nêōw lost 252 people, and 344 livestock in the disaster.. The disaster is remembered as the Heartbreak Screams, after the sounds of the winds.
